SAPP to Star: Don't put words into my mouth!

Star's misleading headline rebuked by SAPPStar's misleading headline rebuked by SAPP

Anyone who look at the Star headline can guess at where Star stands in misreporting the position of SAPP on the `no confidence' motion of SAPP. The content of the report speak for itself-the motion is simply suspended-not `off' as put in bold print in STAR headline. What an unprofessional way to score points for the big boss of Star! Anyway STAR didn't report that after the report came out the unhappy SAPP spokeperson  rebuked the Star report and said angrily `Don't put words into my mouth!'

Nexus between media boycot and anti-racism

The PR governments' decision to boycott Utusan Melayu for harping on racism issues should be aplauded -afterall an offender of racism will not stop unless it `get the message' from the people/consumers. When nobody want to buy the paper the paper will either change /improve or die a natural death!

Blog readers do vote Opposition more

Despite the finding that the blog readers vote Opposition by a bigger margin than those who vote BN the poll organisers are dnying the connection. Their arguments: those who watch TV and read mainstream papers also voted the Opposition -well, where is your prove? The poll only survey people who read blogs!

Media & people will walk this Sunday for Media Freedom!

Don't be cowed -you can walk this Sunday for the cause of media freedom! Saying this we may need to apologise to the cows-because they don't ask for permission from anyone to take a walk! Freedom with a permit is an oxy-moron! It is the string going thru the cow's noose. While rejecting the use of indelible ink the AG confirmed that in exercising fundamental rights there should not be anything that come in between. So should our freedom of assembly and freedom of movement and freedom of expression. Walk the talk -enough talking about the walk.

Free to walk for free and fair media?

Is it true that we will have free media? BENAR!Is it true that we will have free media? BENAR!

Walk for Media Freedom

Date: 1 June 2009
Time: 9.00am
Place: Dataran Merdeka to National Press Club (NPC)

Democracy in Malaysia is evolving and maturing.

Growth means change and growth often calls for one to leave behind zones of comfort and venture into unknown places. While some changes are slower to materialise, other changes that we can observe already taking place are truly refreshing.

One of those changes which will profoundly and positively impact democratic growth is the move towards Information Freedom.
