Residents against high dense Tg Bungah `Corridor'!

The Tanjong Bunga Residents' Association (TBRA) will, jointly
with the Adun for Tanjong Bunga, YB Teh, hold a Press Conference on the
issue of Tanjong Bunga's Status in the State Structure Plan. Last week,
TBRA met with members of the State Government and was not pleased with
the lack of clarification regarding the applicable Corridor and density
norms for Tanjong Bunga.

Dear Penangnites & Malaysian

I am ordinary penangnite whom love diversity of Penang and presently
helping the residents of Kg Buah Pala to fight  the eviction by the
Developer. I am not a politician or allligned to any political parties and
i do not have any political aspiration either. I am not a Hindraf or MIC-BN
Collaborator working against PAKATAN Government. I came across a very
frigthening " Kg Buah Pala Horror Story" upon studying the documents of Kg
Buah Pala in the last three weeks upon receiving SOS from the Village.

Kg Buah Pala Villagers  presently remains  about 300 illiterate and
uneducated indians whom ancestors are the workers of Glugor Estate under

Conflict of interests real reason why Ahmad Ismail must be stopped!Conflict of interests real reason why Ahmad Ismail must be stopped!Ahmad Ismail is reportedly trying hard to pull strings within UMNO to allow him to continue as UMNO Whip and Councilor in MPPP. A survey of the excuses he or his party colleague gave shows that he is unrepentent of the conflict of interests that the continuation of his post as Councilor had and will cause !

The foremost reason offered for his continuation as Councilor is that : being Chairperson of PORR (Penang Outer Ring Road)  appointed contractor he will have a critical role to play in the Council ! What role ? He want to be a developer -and a Councilor heading the development approval committee at the same time ! Is he not aware of a very serious conflict of interests involved ?

Still waiting for bridge

LOCATED along the Jalan Tengah road stretch in Bayan Baru, Penang, are two schools, a private hospital, a government clinic, a fire station, a police station (under construction), a petrol station, and a hypermarket.

This stretch is inevitably choked with traffic during peak hours. Scores of students and their parents use this road daily. Pedestrian safety has been become a major issue of concern. 

Our Association held a dialogue with Giant Hypermarket and local authorities more than 17 months ago to discuss this issue and also on ways to regulate the traffic flow around the hypermarket.
