MPPP and Penang Gov please do something about these selfish so called "businessmen" who are converting many old houses in penang into swiftlets hotel. Georgetown is not a deserted town, many people are still staying in the houses all over town. Although less than 10 years ago, there is still a lot! Just check the banji!

My parents house happen to be next to a swiftlet hotel, just converted last year. Everyday they have to suffer the loud and annoying bird noise from the speakers. Can you imagine??? Everyday for 12 hours...satuday, sunday, public holiday....EVERYDAY you know!!! Cannot even take a quiet afternnon nap with all the noise.

No use talking to the swiftlet hotel owner, they even challenge us "you want you go complain to MPPP la". As if they know MPPP famous lack of enforcement. These selfish fella are not staying here, so they don't have to suffer. They just come back once a while to collect the nest, but what about us?? those staying nearby all have to suffer, while these selfish "businessmen" take the profits. Where is the justice and fairness???

This problem has been going on for years already. Please la...it's time to do something about it! Somemore now Georgetown is acknowledged by Unesco as Heritage City. Do we want our visitors to think Penang is just some bird farm???
