Big tourism plans for Penang. Either a RM80mil proposal from Teluk Bahang to Penang Hill and a RM60mil project from Youth Park to Penang Hill.
Good. This project will draw more tourists to Penang. But wouldn't it be better to use the money to upgrade the transport system in the island first? The cable car will benefit the tourists. But a better transport system (tram or MRT) would benefit both tourists and locals. Beside, don't you know that NGOs have all the while against the development of cable car from Teluk Bahang?

VOICE OF RAKYATS
Though the State government is still in its infancy age of 110 days, there is no excuse for being silent and deaf to the views of the Ordinary Rakyats and NGOs.

Though they may be the People's leaders through the electoral process, many a times they have missed the well meaned thoughts of the Ordinary Rakyats.

There is nothing ashame for leaders to FOLLOW or ACCEPT the views of the NGOs!!!

Frankly, the current state government have yet to show willingness to have true meaningful bonds with the Penang NGOs.

Have too much electoral success gone into their head?

Q: Is the neglect that

Q: Is the neglect that Penang Hill is suffering from part of a plot to force the public to accept a cable car proposal?

Q: Since the state government has changed, who is the behind-the-scene power to continue to push for the cable car proposal? Is it federal government? Is it a group of MPPP technocrats?

Q: Will the recent plan to convert leasehold land to freehold title by the state government involve agricutural plots around Penang Hill? Will these lead to the development of Penang Hill?

Q: Will the Penang state government set down criteria of lease conversion to prevent such destruction of Penang Hill?

Q: Will the state government take back the concession to run the Penang Hill top tea house from the expensive, and useless, whatever "Brown" restaurant (related to a Cameron restaurant)?
