Etc/GMT+8

In the month of September, three exciting events are to be held in KL, Penang and Johor Bahru, spanning three weekends, will screen 32 thought-provoking films from all over the world featuring the works of inspiring and award-winning directors.

FFF07 will also premiere the screenings of the winning film proposals with the theme "50th Merdeka – The Untold Human Rights Stories". The three outstanding scripts chosen were:

"Forgotten", a documentary by Penangite Ong Boon Keong, about the right to land by more than 2000 jetty settlers in Weld Quay, Georgetown who have been labeled as squatters, "She's My Son" by Indrani Kopal, a documentary about the life of a transgendered Malaysian told through the eyes of her mother and "Sepuluh Tahun Sebelum Merdeka" by Fahmi Reza, a documentary about the hidden history behind the democratic struggle and political independence of Malaya.

Join us for the awards ceremony where the three directors will receive the Justin Louis Award on Saturday, 15th September during the 50.44 (www.50-44.org) concert, 8.30pm at the Central Market Annexe, Kuala Lumpur!

Entry to FFF07 screenings is by invitation, so kindly send your name, number, and number of guests to fffreservations@gmail.com and specify which screening day(s) you'd like to go for or you can register yourself on the day of the screening itself at the FFF07 front desk.
