Negara's kuku(besi) said Negarakuku is none of its business

As reported by www.malaysiakini.com half a million listeners later the controversial song Negerakuku created by a Muar student studying in Taiwan is conceded as beyond the Malaysia's jurisdiction. And what is the point of suppressing the artistic creation -though the content is controversial. The best way to deal with politically incorrect views are to put forward yours which are more rational and reasonable. Eg there has been a lively debate about race-based NEP and even more explicit `Ketuanan Melayu' concept of UMNO. Comparing to these more `official' manifestation of racial ideology Negarakuku -which takes an ethnic line in looking at what are afterall Malaysians' problems, lost hand down in terms of chances to get heard, propagated and implemented-despite Youtube's platform. It is so unfunny that the bigger racial propagator feel threated by a smaller one! Is monopoly the issue here?

I have a rap to reply to Negarakuku:

When a Malay get contracts

Non-malays think that all Malays get all the contracts

But how many Malays and how many contracts?

By giving the contracts to a few Malays

the elites make all Malays to feel favoured

and all-non Malays feel the `power' of the Malays' `Tuan'

So the differences between all those who don't get contracts

are made to look bigger than the big differences between

those few contracts getters and those many more who are not

And the media, gatherings, associations etc who can tell you this truth

are banned by the `negara' going kukubesi!

So : Negarakuku or Negara kukubesi more scary?

"Negarakuku" Is Outside Police Jurisdiction

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- Police have no authority to investigate or detain individuals involved in broadcasting the song "Negaraku" which had been adapted to insert seditious elements although it involved a national of this country.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Najib Abdul Aziz said the police could not take any action as the incident occurred outside the country.

"The police can only take action if the incident occurs in the country," he told reporters after a function here tonight when commenting on a local newspaper report on the issue.

Local newspapers today reported that a student from Muar, Johor who is studying in Taiwan had aired a video clip of the song 'Negaraku' which had been adapted and inserted with negative elements such as racial issues and touched on religious sensitivity.

The video clip "Negarakuku" which lasted five minutes and 32 seconds, which was inserted in the YouTube website since the middle of last month, also inserted a rap song in Mandarin which carried anti-government messages.

However, Mohd Najib said police would still carry out an investigation if there were groups in the country which had lodged a police report on the incident.
