Obstacles to Penang's economy
It is easy to find out... just try to start a business, imagine how many authorities you have to go through and the time it takes. Most businessmen opt for the "who cares" attitude cause they are fed up of don't know what the authorities wanted.
I would suggest that the government should set up a one stop centre to issue all licenses to ease the problem of all the red tapes. I wanted to set up a shop where the public can trade the used goods. IMAGINE my friends told me that I need a second goods license to start the business and on top of that I need to have a trading license and what else do I need and this is only hear say. It shuns me away and probably I will just sell it online and save all the hassle. If Penang were to improve it should have a business friendly authorities
You are not wrong !
To obtain license for legitimate license is difficult in Penang -so the proliferation of illegal operations here. The many procedures and lack of deadline for approval means open season for corruption. The CM loves this like ants of sugar ?
Licence not for baba!
Licence is another priviledge of the Bumi and you will be wasting time expecting the government to set up one-stop or what not! It's all hopeless if we maintain this pro-NEPvirus administration and we just have to live with this culture despite all whinings!
If you have Taraf Bumi licence, you can enjoy the free-loader's live style, play golf while the baba is slogging like bull to do the works and earn you licence fees for the bills of green fees and others etc. Again you are thinking of buying and selling scraped irons or recycled goods?! Too messy and dirty type of works leave it to baba lah! Stupid!!
