'Higher density areas will not result in more congestion'
GEORGE TOWN (Jan 27, 2010):
It is a misconception that higher density areas will ultimately mean
there will be too many people concentrated in these areas, said the
Real Estate and Housing Developers Association.
Its Penang chairman Datuk Jerry Chan said having more high density areas does not mean they will end up with very high density.
I hope there will be some warning /punishment for those people doing the open burning. Thanks.

Finally after countless complains to the Penang State Police regarding the illegal racers in the middle of the night at Penang Tesco, Lebuh Tunku Kudin, the police launched an operation with JPJ in nabbing these racers.
These racers started their usual racing routine at 1.30am this morning awakening myself as usual on early weekend morning (this has been going for several months on weekly basis) and I was prepared to make a phone call to the nearby station (as usual). Before i managed to do that, i heard police patrol car's siren and I thought "wow! this time the police is sure fast!" and then thought nothing about it because it is a norm to find only ONE patrol car (as usual) chasing over 100+ racers but this time, it's different.
I was indeed suprised to find so many police car this time and they were blocking all the exist points (from Tesco) and boy...was i jumping in delight or what.
To cut it short, this operation lasted 1 1/2 hour later after which these racers were directed to push their bikes from Tesco to the designated police station by foot.
I was too excited and couldn't sleep after that. I would like to thank the polices for good job done on behalf of the residents here..BRAVO!
Everyone who works in Bayan Lepas using "Bayan Lepas Expresshighway" will know this problem for at least 10-15 years during going to work in FTZ. When you drive from Jelutong Express Highway or coming from mainland to island using PG bridge towards Bayan Lepas, you will find 4 lanes becomes 2 lanes' "headache". All the cars have to squeeze into 2 lanes to pass thru due to structure of pedestrian bridge. Each car has to take 5-10 min due to this spot of highway design for at least 10-15 years, but no one is taking any action to correct the root cause of traffic jam. Many thousands of cars have to face this obstacle every morning to work in FTZ and it is a cause of time wasting, waste of petrol, air polution as well as late on work (if there is an accident).
Government and MP of that area should take action to correct it before further wastage of social due to this stupid, improper design of road on that spot.
MP, your support and attention are required to make sure this issue is not drag for further 10 years or 20 years.
