Tajol Rosli: I’ll vacate seat to gauge Pakatan strength

KUALA KANGSAR: Perak Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Tajol Rosli Ghazali is willing to vacate his Pengkalan Hulu state seat for a by-election to test Pakatan Rakyat’s strength in the state.

“I am willing to vacate the seat to see how fragile the Pakatan Rakyat coalition is. I do not have to stand in the by-election; someone else could contest on a Barisan ticket.

“The outcome of the by-election would reflect Barisan’s support in the state,” he said during an appreciation gathering organised by Kuala Kangsar Barisan Nasional at the Arena Square here yesterday.

Not only do the Perak State Govt allow close to 1/3 of local Councilors to be chosen from public/non-party appointees, they also `pioneer' in open advertising, open interview of local Councilors. State Opposition/BN members are to be judged without political discrimination-thus putting Perak State govt km's ahead of  other states -both BN or PR-ruled. Penang is clearly falling behind.
