Penang CM has announced that his government has written to the SPR/EC to organise elections for the 2 councils in the state-but has he taken note of the suggestion by Derek Fernandez below on how it could have been done? If he has not taken the step-then the announcement is just a cheap publicity stunt for the 2nd anniversary of the mar 8th tsunami!

Despite various complains and talks the people who owns the land in between Bayu Ferringhi & Ferringhi Villa refuses to stop burning extensively.
This is a residential area and we have newborn babies, toddlers, senior citizens who has to breathe in the smoke every day and night.
ARE WE IN INDONESIA where people are regarded as uneducated about pollution>?? What is happening here????
This is unbearable!!!
Some say burning is in Teluk Bahang... We are sure it is the land where the water fall is next to Ferringhi Villa as that is the direction it is coming from plus our neighbours has gone there before with the authorities....
ACT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE
